The DECAR-EU Module connects academic research, policy dialogue, and practical skills development through a wide range of activities:
Core objectives
The DECAR-EU Jean Monnet Module provides specialised education on EU financial and digital asset regulation, with a particular focus on forensic sciences.
EDUCATION
To strengthen EU studies in the field of financial forensics by integrating EU law in the area of finance and technology, as well as insights into the EU financial and monetary framework, into forensic and legal education.
DIALOGUE
To promote academic and policy dialogue through interactive courses, expert roundtables, and international collaboration.
MENTORSHIP
To support students and early-career researchers in EU law and finance research through mentorship, the development of high-quality scholarly papers, final theses, and joint publications.
COOPERATION
To foster interdisciplinary collaboration among legal scholars, financial regulators, and technology experts, while ensuring the development of students' practical skills.
Objectives and long-term impact
The module's objectives are designed to be achievable within three years, while laying the foundation for further research and teaching in the fields of fintech law and forensic financial science.
