Marko perkušić

Marko Perkušić

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, Ph.D.

Marko Perkušić was born on 9 August 1990 in Split, where he graduated from high school in 2009. In the same year, he enrolled at the Faculty of Law, University of Split, graduating in 2014 as the top student of his generation with the highest-grade point average. He defended his master’s thesis entitled “Innovations in Croatian Land Registry Law of 2013 and Their Significance.” During his studies, he was a student demonstrator for the course Public International Law, a student representative on the Faculty Council, and a member of the Student Relations Office. He is a four-time recipient of the Dean’s Award for Excellence and a two-time scholarship holder of the Zlatko Crnić Foundation, once ranked first among law students in the Republic of Croatia.

After completing his graduate studies, he enrolled in the Postgraduate Doctoral Programme in Social Sciences, field of Law, at the Faculty of Law, University of Rijeka. His doctoral dissertation topic, entitled “Legal Issues of Electronic Payments,” was approved in 2017, and he successfully defended his dissertation in April 2019. In 2016, he conducted part of his doctoral research at Freie Universität Berlin. He also participated in numerous summer schools and professional seminars in Croatia and abroad, including the Summer School of Human Rights in Novi Vinodolski and the International School on the Harmonisation of South-East European Legislation with European Union Law in Durrës, Albania.

He began his professional career as a trainee lawyer in a law firm, where he worked on civil and commercial law cases, represented clients in court proceedings, and participated in legal counselling under the mentorship of an experienced attorney. Since February 2015, he has been employed as an Assistant at the University Department of Forensic Sciences, University of Split. He was elected to the academic rank of Assistant Professor on 10 June 2020 and promoted to Associate Professor on 30 July 2025. He currently serves as Head of the Chair of Legal Sciences, Vice-Dean for Finance, and Chair of the Publishing Committee.

Within his teaching and research activities, he participates in the delivery of courses in civil, commercial, international, and financial law, supervises students, and leads and participates in scientific research projects. He is the holder of a prestigious Jean Monnet Module dedicated to the study of legal issues related to digital payments, including the digital euro.

He is the author and co-author of numerous scientific and professional books and publications in the field of law, with particular emphasis on electronic payments, banking and financial law, maritime law, environmental protection, and energy law. He has presented his research at numerous national and international scientific and professional conferences, including conferences held at Sorbonne University.

Mario Pečarić

PROFESSOR, Ph.D.

He is a full professor (tenured) at the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism, University of Split, and at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Rijeka. His research interests include International Finance, Monetary Economics, EU Finance, and Institutional Economics. He has taught as a lecturer and co-lecturer of finance and financial law courses at postgraduate specialist and doctoral studies in Split, Rijeka, and Mostar. Under his supervision, seven doctoral dissertations in finance have been successfully defended. The breadth of his teaching activities is largely shaped by the specificity of his scientific perspective, evident in his distinctive approach to financial topics, most often from the standpoint of institutional economics.

He has participated in several training seminars in international finance and institutional economics in the USA, Italy, and France (University of Kentucky, Carol Martin Gatton College of Business & Economics, School of Accountancy; Alpen-Adria scholarship, University of Udine, Italy; Université de Poitiers, France, French government grant; research on institutional economics; Youth Exchange Programme – USIA, USA; Instituto Sinnea, Bologna – European Course in Finance, etc.).

He was Head of the Department of Finance, Faculty of Economics, University of Split, from 2014 to 2016. He is a reviewer for several international journals and a member of programme committees of conferences and editorial boards of journals. He is a member of the Croatian Society of Operations Researchers and the Association of Scholars of the Government of the Republic of France. He has both active and passive knowledge of English and French.
Član je Hrvatskog društva za operacijska istraživanja i Udruge stipendista Vlade Republike Francuske. Aktivno se služi engleskim i francuskim jezikom.

Roberto Ercegovac

PROFESSOR, Ph.D.

Roberto Ercegovac diplomirao je na Ekonomskom fakultetu Sveučilišta u Splitu 1995. godine. Na istom je Sveučilištu pohađao poslijediplomski magistarski studij bankarstva i osiguranja, a 2008. godine obranio je doktorsku disertaciju pod naslovom „Politika kamatnih stopa u bankarskoj industriji u kontekstu rizika”.

Since 2001 he is employed in banking sector (Splitska Bank, being the part of large international banking groups, Unicredit Milano, BACA Vienna, Societe Generale France, and OTP Hungary) in the credit risk department, market risk unit, research and development, and capital market operations. Currently is the Head of Capital Market Operations at OTP Banka d.d. Croatia.

Od 2000. godine angažiran je kao vanjski suradnik na Sveučilištu u Splitu – Ekonomskom fakultetu. Na Sveučilištu u Splitu predavao je kolegije Bankarstvo i financije, Upravljanje rizicima, Teorija financijskog posredovanja, Monetarna analiza te Europski monetarni sustav. Od 2024. godine vanjski je suradnik Visokog učilišta Baltazar Zaprešić, gdje predaje kolegije Upravljanje portfeljem i Ulaganje u vrijednosne papire.

During the professional and science career, he published many scientific papers, and two monographies: Bank Management in Theory and Practice, and Financial Derivatives – Principles and Applications.

His field of interest is financial modelling, fair value accounting, hedge accounting, banking regulations, IFRS 7, IFRS 9, IFRS 13, market risk, capital and money market instruments, Basel III, CRD IV, EMIR, MIFID, MIFIR, FINREP, COREP).

Marijana Bartulović

PROFESSOR, Ph.D.

Marijana Bartulović was born on August 25, 1982 in Ljubuški, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is married and the mother of two sons. She is currently employed as a full professor at the Faculty of Forensic Sciences, University of Split. So far, she has held a number of positions at this Faculty: she was the acting head of the University Department and deputy head, and she currently holds the position of head of the Financial and Accounting Forensics module. 

U nastavnim aktivnostima angažirana je od 2007. godine te je do danas držala nastavu iz niza računovodstvenih kolegija. Njezini istraživački interesi usmjereni su na područje financijsko-računovodstvene forenzike te sprječavanje i otkrivanje korporativnih prijevara. U tom kontekstu angažirana je na kolegijima koje se izvode u okviru modula Financijsko-računovodstvena forenzika. Aktivno je sudjelovala na više međunarodnih i domaćih znanstvenih i stručnih skupova te je samostalno i u koautorstvu objavila niz znanstvenih i stručnih radova. Kao aktivni istraživač upisana je u upisnik znanstvenika pod matičnim brojem 303620. Sudjelovala je, kao član ekspertnog tima, na projektu „Europskog sveučilišta mora (SEA-EU)“. Trenutno je angažirana na projektu pod nazivom „Unaprjeđenje upravljanja sigurnošću kroz implementaciju forenzičkih znanosti u državnim institucijama i agencijama“ koji provode RACVIAC – Centar za sigurnosnu suradnju i Fakultet za forenzičke znanosti. U okviru projekta koordinirala je organizaciju radionice „Pranje novca: gdje se teorija susreće s praksom“ te je aktivno sudjelovala u panelu „Pranje novca: teorijski aspekti i suvremeni izazovi“. Također, članica je projekta Digitalna transformacija računovodstva i revizije u funkciji održivog poslovanja i mjerenja performansi (DIOR) kao i projekta Digital Euro & Crypto-Asset Regulation in the European Union. Aktivno je sudjelovala u izradi standarda zanimanja financijsko-računovodstveni forenzičar te je bila voditeljica stručne radne skupine za izradu standarda kvalifikacije „magistar/magistra financijsko-računovodstvene forenzike“.

She participated in a number of professional development programs as well as in the development of several professional projects and studies. For the purpose of popularizing science, she has been engaged in the Festival of Science for a number of years, and also, on behalf of the Faculty of Forensic Sciences, she has been organizing round tables and workshops during the International Fraud Awareness Week with the aim of raising awareness and promoting a more active fight against corporate frauds. She is also involved in the project "SafetyNet - Battle for Safety" implemented by the Split-Dalmatia Police Department together with its partners with the aim of promoting safety on the Internet and fighting various forms of computer frauds. As part of the Erasmus+ program, she has twice attended training in Ljubljana, at the College of Accounting, and in September 2023, she received teaching and scientific training at the Faculty of Economics, University of Mostar. She is a member of the Croatian Accountants Association, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), and the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS).

Šime Jozipović

Šime Jozipović

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, Ph.D.

Dr. Šime Jozipović is Jean Monnet Professor of Financial and Business Law at the University of Split, and a legal advisor and arbitrator. He graduated from the University of Split and the Free University of Berlin as the first in his generation in 2011. In 2013, he passed the bar exam in the Republic of Croatia. He earned his master's degrees in European and International Business Law from Ludwig Maximilian University in 2015 and in Financial and Tax Law from Harvard University in 2016. He received his doctorate in 2017 with the highest honors (summa cum laude) in 2017 from Ludwig Maximilian University.

His scientific work focuses on the areas of commercial and financial law, and the relationship between law and technological innovation. As a scholar, he worked at Harvard Law School, the Max Planck Institute for Financial Law and Public Finance, and the University of Split. He has been an invited speaker at a number of conferences, including those of the Sorbonne University and the Free University of Berlin. He is an internationally recognized author who has received a number of awards for his work in the field of European business and tax law, including the prestigious European Public Law Organization Award for his work "The Impact of European State Aid Law on International Tax Law". He has received multiple awards for his scientific work in the field of European economic and tax law.

Dr. Jozipović worked as a trainee at the European Court of Human Rights, and is now a registered legal advisor at the Croatian Bar Association. His recent work focuses on the legal challenges of cross-border investments and the protection of investor rights. In 2017, he began collaborating with the Student Entrepreneurial Incubator of the University of Split (SPI) on legal issues of student entrepreneurship, and since 2019 he has been advising student entrepreneurs pro bono . Dr. Jozipović currently serves as a member of the supervisory boards and as a legal advisor to leading companies in Dalmatia.

Nina Mladinić

Nina Mladinić

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, Ph.D.

Nina Mladinić was born on Decembar 15, 1988 in Split, Croatia. She is married and the mother of one child. She is currently employed as a associate professor at the Faculty of Forensic Sciences, University of Split. So far, she has held a number of positions at this Faculty: she was a Deputy Head for Teaching of the University Department and Head of the Chair of Legal Sciences in Forensics, and she currently holds the position of Vice Head of the Chair of Legal Sciences in Forensics.

She has been engaged in teaching activities since 2012 and has taught a number of law courses to date. Her research interests are focused on the field of criminal law, medical law and economic and organized crime. In this context, she participates in teaching courses at the Faculty of Forensic Sciences, University of Split. For many years, she has participated as a researcher in internal projects and was the leader of an internal project entitled: Dangers and Challenges of the Internet and Social Networks for Children and young people, University Department of Forensic Sciences, University of Split (project duration: 1.01.2024. – 31.12.2024.).

Trenutno je angažirana na projektu pod nazivom „Unaprjeđenje upravljanja sigurnošću kroz implementaciju forenzičkih znanosti u državnim institucijama i agencijama“ koji provode RACVIAC – Centar za sigurnosnu suradnju i Fakultet za forenzičke znanosti. U okviru projekta aktivno je sudjelovala u radionici „Pranje novca: gdje se teorija susreće s praksom“. Kao članica istraživačkog tima sudjeluje i na projektu Pravnog fakulteta u Splitu „Upravljanje migracijama – iskustva i perspektive (UMIP)“. Sudjelovala je u nizu programa stručnog usavršavanja kao i u izradi niza stručnih projekata i elaborata. U svrhu popularizacije znanosti niz godina sudjeluje na Festivalima znanosti kao i u provedbama cjeloživotnog obrazovanja.

Piplica), Split, 2020, 522 pp. She is a member of Croatian Association of Criminal Science and Practice and associate of Croatian Academy of Legal Sciences. She is the recipient of the commendation for the first author of the best scientific paper written at the University Department of Forensic Sciences published in the academic year 2019/2020. and commendation certificate to the best rated professor of the University Department of Forensic Science sin the ac. year 2022/2023 and 2024/2025. As an active researcher, she is registered in the register of scientists under the registration number 348995.

marin keršić

Marin Keršić

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, Ph.D.

Graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Split, completed postgraduate studies in Legal Theory at the J. W. Goethe Faculty of Law, University of Frankfurt am Main, and doctoral studies in Philosophy of Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Genoa. Since 2017, employed as an assistant, since 2023 as a senior assistant (postdoc), and since 2024 as an assistant professor at the Department of Theory of Law and State, Faculty of Law, University of Split. Since 2024, he holds the position of Vice-Dean for Teaching and Students. Executive Editor of the Collected Papers of the Faculty of Law in Split.

Area of ​​scientific interest: legal reasoning, judicial argumentation, theories of law and interpretation. Published approx. 20 papers in the mentioned and other related fields.
Participated as a speaker at about 20 international scientific conferences and as an organizer of several international conferences at the Faculty of Law, University of Split.

Sanja Čović

Sanja Čović Jurčević

Sanja Čović Jurčević was born on 2 October 1992 in Berlin. She completed her general secondary education in Sinj in 2011 and subsequently enrolled at the Faculty of Law of the University of Split, where she graduated in 2016 among the top students of her generation. During her studies, she received the Dean’s Award for academic excellence and a scholarship from the City of Trilj. She spent one semester as an exchange student at Freie Universität Berlin within the Erasmus student exchange program and participated in several scientific and professional conferences.

From 2018 to 2020, she worked as a trainee lawyer in Split, after which she was appointed as a teaching and research assistant at the Department of Civil Procedural Law, Faculty of Law, University of Split. In 2019, she was appointed a permanent court interpreter for the German language. Since 2021, she has been a member of the organizing committee of the international scientific conference “Actualities of Civil Procedure Law – national and comparative legal-theoretical and practical achievements” and serves as the technical editor of the corresponding conference proceedings. She actively involved in the scientific, research, and teaching activities of the Department of Civil Procedural Law, including internal faculty research projects.

In 2021, she enrolled in the postgraduate university doctoral program in Legal Sciences at the Faculty of Law, University of Split, within the research field of Civil Judicial Proceedings. She successfully defended the topic of her doctoral dissertation entitled “Litigation costs” in 2023, and the dissertation is currently in its final stage of preparation.

She is the author and co-author of several scientific papers in the fields of civil law, civil procedural law, labour law, and commercial law, and has presented her research at several international scientific conferences.
